The Oncology Dietitian

Ricardo Lopez Oncology Dietitian. Oncology nutrition. Diet for cancer

Ricardo Lopez is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist – Board-Certified Specialist in Oncology Nutrition, an expert in nutrition with extensive training. Bilingual in English and Spanish.

Ricardo helps patients with cancer get adequate nutrients, especially those undergoing chemo and radiation therapy. He has a master's degree in Healthcare Administration and about ten years of experience in clinical nutrition. 

He works with different medical oncology teams to provide nutrition intervention to patients, including Gastrointestinal, Pancreas, Surgical Oncology, Lung, Head & Neck, Malignant Hematology, Genitourinary, Breast Cancer, and other medical units.
 

He has completed more than 9,000 visits with patients with cancer, helping them meet their nutritional needs through their cancer journey. 

His current practice includes education, assessment, and counseling in cancer prevention, nutrition before, during, and after treatment, treatment side effects management, specialized diets, and management of nutrition support regimens through feeding tubes. 

Ricardo lives in Dallas, TX, and enjoys spending time with family, being outdoors, and practicing yoga.
